In order to ensure safety during NATO Summit and World Youth Day, on the 4th of July Poland temporarily resumed the border control at internal Schengen borders . They will remain in effect until the 2nd of August. The controls will be conducted by Polish Border Guard patrols, using mobile control terminals and ‘Schengen buses’.

Travelers who have the right to free movement in EU countries must have documents certifying the identity and citizenship. Third country nationals are obliged to have documents entitling to cross the border (passport) and confirming the right to stay in Poland, that is, for example, a visa.
